Let’s change how Memphis moves.

Street Fair advocates for transportation options that promote safety, connection, and affordability for all Memphians.

Memphians deserve to get where they need to go safely and affordably — regardless of zip code, income, age, or ability.

Mobility shouldn’t be a luxury. Safety shouldn’t be optional. Transportation options are a basic need for work, school, health, and connection.

That’s why Street Fair is fighting for:

Safe Streets

No one should die just trying to get from one place to another. We prioritize safe streets for everyone in Memphis — whether you’re walking, riding a bike, waiting at a bus stop, or driving a car. Everyone deserves to feel safe on our streets and sidewalks.

Mobility for All

Memphians deserve better transportation choices. We advocate for improved funding, infrastructure, and policies so that Memphians of every income, neighborhood, and ability have safe, reliable, and affordable ways to get around.

Connected Neighborhoods

Improving connections to people and places creates thriving and resilient neighborhoods. We all deserve to have safe and convenient access to services, amenities, and our neighbors without having to get in a car for every trip.

Why do fair streets matter?

Memphis has the highest fatal crash rate in the country.

Nobody using our streets today feels safe — but it doesn't have to be this way. Smarter street design, stronger policies, and greater public awareness leads to safer streets, more vibrant communities, and a better future for our city.

More than 1 in 10 households in Memphis don’t have access to a car.

That’s twice the state average. Car ownership shouldn’t be required to get to work, school or the grocery store.

Memphis families spend nearly 30% of their income on transportation.

That’s double the recommendation of financial experts. Expanding opportunities for car free or car-lite living can return thousands of dollars to the pockets of Memphians each year.
